REALLY good Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn't LOVE a good Choc. chip Cookie Recipe??? I got this recipe from Dan's mom many moons ago and have deceided to post it so if any of you want to try it...

First Mix together:
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar

after you creme those together add:
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
31/2 cups flour (sometimes i have to add a little more, it should be a little bit of work to get it worked in!!)

Then add:
Chocolate Chips
Nuts if desired

DO NOT GREASE COOKIE SHEET!!
Bake at 350, take out BEFORE they start to brown, i think its like 6-8min. ( I just watch them, because every batch is different)
